A number of Iranian officials and parliament members of the Islamic Republic of Iran took part in the ceremony on Monday.
Milad Heydari was martyred in a criminal strike by bombers of the Zionist regime on a Syrian military base near Damascus on Friday morning.
The 32-year-old martyr was one of the officers of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), who played a military advisory role in Syria at the official request of the government in Damascus. The martyr has left behind a six-year-old daughter and a three-year-old son.
The IRGC issued a statement on Saturday, condemning the brutal attack and the silence of the international in dealing with the reiteration of aggressions by the Zionist regime.
According to the statement, the criminal and fake regime will receive a proper response to the heinous act.
Two other IRGC military advisors were martyred near Damascus on November 23, 2022.
